I do love to stumble across a good lip product, especially if its matte and these 'Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks' were made to impress. They were so impressive that I thought I would share the joy with you all...
COLOUR
Frambourjoise is a typical berry pink with plum coloured undertones. But whilst it lingers on the darker side of the colour spectrum, its electric coral undertones is what makes this particular shade fierce. Its a complicated colour. Its not straight forward. And thats would makes me drawn to this shade. These Velvet Lipsticks have a matte finish. Whilst they are indeed similar to the Hourglass lip lacquers, the formula far outdoes their competition. Most matte lip products tend to be quite drying. They bring chapped lips to a whole new level.
FORMULA
The formula of the Bourjois Velvet lipsticks may surprise you. It doesn't dry your lips out. In fact, these are rather moisturising. The first thing to note about the formula is its texture. Its a cross between velvet and moose. It feels slightly like moose, except it doesn't disappear. And whilst it isn't the most wet formula upon application, it dries to a point where it still feels moisturising but doesn't stain your teeth. The second thing to note is its moisturising properties. It moisturises lips with its natural oils. And whilst it doesn't overload your lips with oils, it gives it enough to make a matte lip look good. If you have problems with matte lip products - Give these Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks a go; It won't let you down.
