Chella Cream Highlighter Review + Swatches

With the outbreak of 'blotchzilla' that has been creeping onto my face, I have been reaching for less make up than the usual. Its safe to say that I have been grabbing at the skin care and putting the make up to one side. But there has been a trusty friend of mine that has made it out of the drawer. On recent days, I have been going for the classic 'au natural' look with a bit of extra added help - Of course. Less make up. More glow. Let me introduce you to the Chella 'Ivory Lace' highlighter.

When this landed on my doorstep, I fell in love. I do love my highlighters. They have certain criteria to fill. It needs to be flattering. It needs to glow. It needs to look beautiful under the light. And so when my eyes clapped onto this product, I swooned. Because it was good

Formula This is a cream highlighter in crayon form. And it is creamy - Very creamy. It glides on like a dream. It won't tug at your skin, its easy to work with. What I like about this product is its finish - Its matte. And as a matte product I don't find it to be terribly drying nor too moist. It sits nicely in between. Most importantly though, it stays put - It won't go anywhere.

Colour |  The product has a very natural glow to it. It feels like the type of colour that screams 'your skin but better'. Its matte but it glows. It makes your skin feel radiant and catches the light beautifully. Definitely makes for a very nice brow highlight. I love this highlight because it makes the skin look so fresh and natural. It looks effortless

The Application |  Because its in crayon form, I find it easy to place it onto the skin. There is no faff. This won't get messy. As with all products though, there is a con. As a dry skin type I do find that I need to pop it on top of a moisturised face. Without some sort of slip, it doesn't blend well into the skin. It can get a little patchy & clumpy. With a bit of slip though, it looks stunning. It just blends beautifully. You just need to learn how to work it. And once you do, you get a really gorgeous glow to your complexion. You won't be able to put this down. Its addictive

P.S. If you are oily or combination - you won't need a base.

Are you a shimmer or matte highlight kind of girl? Do let me know.
