Top Middle: 17 Eyeshadow in 'Rose Quartz'.  Top Right Hand Corner: Rimmel Eyeshadow in 'Smokey Quartz'.  Bottom Left: Manhatten Eyeshadow in 'Dim Brown'

There are a lot of things that get overlooked in the drugstore. Eyeshadows definitely tend to fall into that category. But the drugstore AKA my friend Boots, actually has quite a few gems lurking in the dark corners of the make up section. So I thought I'd open up those eyes of yours and introduce you to a few of those underrated hidden gems. Welcome to some purse friendly but absolutely stunning eyeshadows...

Top Left: Revlon Cocoa & Taupe.

Rimmel Mono Eyeshadows in (Left)  'Gold Rush' & 'Smokey Quartz'

Top to Bottom: 17 'Rose Quartz', Manhatten 'Dim Brown', Rimmel 'Smokey Quartz', Rimmel 'Gold Rush'.

Revlon Mono Eyeshadows in 'Cocoa' and 'Taupe'.

Revlon Satin Eye Shadows | Click Palette System  £2.99

These are new in town. To my eyes at least. Revlon have brought out some mono eyeshadows with a click system. The idea is to make up your own palette catering to your own tastes. Each eyeshadow has a slot on their side so they can be slotted together. There is quite a few shades to choose from too. Whether your into your mattes or your shimmers there is something here for everyone. So far I only have two, but I can't wait to get building it. At £2.99 a mono eye shadow, its something fun to build up over time. I bought Cocoa, a gorgeous rich dark chocolate brown - nice for the socket & Taupe which has a really pretty light shimmery finish. These are well worth a look. And paired together, these are a combination not to mess with. Just saying.

Seventeen Eyeshadow in 'Rose Quartz' | £3.89

This is a stunning shade. It was love at first sight for me and this snazzy number. Its a dark champagne pink with purple undertones. Its beautiful and very different from anything else I own. This eyeshadow has a shimmery finish but goes on like butter. Their shadows are just so creamy, it makes application very smooth. The quality of this eye shadow is high. And with its very reasonable price tag, I love them. Dearly. Oh so much. I just wish they would bring out more shades. Bring me more colours please

Manhatten Intense Effect Eyeshadow in 'Dim Brown' | £1.99

This is one for the european ladies. I managed to pick this one up on my travels and I am so glad I did. It is such a go to shade for me, I do not know where I'd be without it. This is a gorgeous dusky brown taupe with dark gold undertones. Need I say more? It is magical. Its definitely a colour for the crease. If your looking to be slightly more experimental on the smokey eye front, this may be one to add to your list. Its buttery. It goes on so smoothly. And it blends like a dream. The product is buildable too. So if your looking to go soft or dramatic with your look, this is flexible enough to work with

Rimmel Mono Eyeshadows | £4.49

These are products that are so overlooked but they are stunners. And in my opinion worth a good look. The packaging lets these down. But if you can see past the packaging, the actual product is beautifulI managed to pick up two of them in Gold Rush - a gorgeous icy gold and Smokey Quartz - a stunning icy bronze shade. For the price they aren't bad. Smokey Quartz has a nice smooth buttery texture that goes on like a dream. Gold Rush has a slightly chunkier texture, which can be slightly annoying. But it looks so beautiful around the eye, I would recommend giving it a sneaky buy. Whilst the range lacks variety, the shades available are strong, edgy and pretty darn nice. Grab them while you can.
