When Skin Gets Dry

Winter Skin Care for Dry Skin

When Skin gets dry, your face is in chaos. Time and time again my skin has been through the mill and back, mainly due to the Winter season. Each Winter I end up in a furious battle of Skin care 'versus' Dry & sensitive skin. Luckily I have managed to find a few of those hero products, that help me turn 'a desert' back into my normal skin…

Bioderma Hydrabio Serum | LINK

A lot of the time dry patches on your skin can be down to 'Dehydration'. So it is important to include a product that is effective at putting hydration back into your skin. My hero product is this beautiful Serum. This serum is a gel like paste that melts easily over the surface of your skin. It feels cooling upon application and you can feel it working its way into the deeper layers of your face. If you pop a moisturiser on top, you are in 'moisture paradise'. This is the best serum I have tried and I recommend it for all those who suffer from dry skin. Its definitely a companion to have with you for the Winter. And it is sensitive skin approved.

Aveeno Moisturising Cream | LINK

This is my all time favourite moisturiser for Dry & Sensitive skin. I have been through my fair share of moisturisers and this one is the cream that my skin loves the most. Aveeno Skin Care contains Oatmeal extract, which is a very good at soothing sore & sensitive skin. The formula of this moisturiser is very light. Unlike a lot of moisturisers for dry skin, this one does not leave a greasy film on top of your skin. Its the perfect moisturiser to pop foundation on top of and can leave your skin feeling soft for hours. The best thing about this product is that it is fragrance free. Fragranced moisturisers are a 'Sensitive Skin Types' worst enemy. A lot of moisturisers use perfume to make their products smell nice. Even natural fragrances can irritate your skin. I would recommend Aveeno for those  with sensitive skin who are on a budget.

Clinique Moisture Surge 'Extended Thirst Relief' | LINK

Clinique is another brand I trust with my sensitive skin. Their Moisture Surge Collection is very good at tackling problems with dry skin regardless of your skin type. This is a suit all skin types collection, which is wonderful because the Winter can dry everyone's skin out.  The 'Extended Thirst Relief' is a light pink gel that sinks slowly into your skin. The product feels rather cooling on your face, which acts as a soothing property for those with sensitive skin. This is a cream that leaves your skin feeling unbelievably soft. Its also a great product to help you tackle dehydrated skin. Its a product I would recommend to everyone. Try and squeeze a sample out of them before you purchase!

A-Derma Nourishing Cream | LINK

If your skin is literally flaking off your face, always go for a cream that has the word 'nourishing' written in its description. Creams that 'nourish' are the best for helping you to heal your dry skin. These creams tend to sink a lot deeper into your skin then your average cream, whilst still being light and not greasy on the skin. A-derma do fantastic creams for those who suffer from Dry & Sensitive skin. The cream is quite water based, which means its light and sinks in quickly to leave your skin feeling nice and soft. It does a great job at softening those dry patches. Running your foundation through them should be a lot less tricky.
