Desk Side Essentials

Lanolips Tinted Lip Balm in Rose

There are always a few products that I keep on my desk at all times. I call them my 'Desk Side Essentials'. Here are a few products that can come in rather handy…

Burts Bees Hand Balm Review

Burts Bees Hand Salve

I am a girl who appreciates her hand creams. Dry hands are literally one of my pet peeves. But sometimes these hand creams can be rather greasy and I dislike using heavy hand creams whilst I am typing up a blog post at the computer. The Burts Bees Hand Salve is literally a Desk Side Essential for all desks. The hand salve is a thin balm that you work into a light oil. A tiny amount of this product goes a long way, you massage the balm in with your hands and it dries quickly leaving you with no grease. The product zaps away dry skin and keeps skin in mint condition. Ooh I just love this stuff!

Lanolips Lip Ointment

My lips are always in need of a quick dose of lip balm. I get dry lips all of the time! I love to have the Lanolips Lip Ointment sitting by my side. The formula is rich in oils so it conditions lips well. Its thick but melts into the skin like butter. The whole product is rather lush and it keeps your mouth feeling moisturised for long periods of time.

Clinique 'All About Eyes' Eye Cream

I am a huge believer in keeping a little tub of eye cream sitting on my desk. Eye creams are something I always forget to apply. Since I have kept one at all times on my desk, my eyes have gotten a lot of eye cream loving! I particularly swoon over the Clinique 'All About Eyes' Eye cream. I would go as far as to deem this one of the best eye creams out on the market. The formula is light but SO hydrating. It literally bathes your skin in moisture

TKMAXX 'To Do List' Notebook

Who would have thought that TKMAXX is the best place to shop for notebooks - They do stunning notebooks. It is no secret that I love notebooks. I find that all bloggers should have a place to jot down their random thoughts and ideas for their blog. There is something about writing out your thoughts. Whilst I was shopping I found a 'To Do List' Notebook where you can write lists of things you need to complete throughout your day and then rip it off once the list is done. What made this particular notebook even better was that it had a magnet on the back so you could pop it onto your fridge. My fridge looks so good right now - It looks snazzy!

    1. Oh yessss! I always have a glass of water with me too. Notebooks are definitely a desk thing! ;) xx

  2. Does the lip ointment have a colour to it? Love the packaging for it xx

    Through New Eyes x

    1. This one does! I have this in the shade 'Rose'. It just gives a really sheer wash. They do however sell lip ointments that are clear. So you can choose if you would like a tinted lip balm or a plain one! Hope this all helps! :) xx

  3. I tend to get dry lips often too!, i defiantly find having a lip product on my desk helps with this problem :)

    1. Dry lips are one of life's frustrating things! Lip products are glued to my side - Literally! xx

  4. I really want to try the Clinique eye cream, I don't use an eye cream (so bad) and I've heard amazing things about this one!

  5. I've never tried that Burt's Bees hand lotion yet, but it seems like a great pick for a desk hand cream.

When it comes to choosing a hand lotion, I am very picky. I like my hand cream to be not too heavy, not too liquid, and also smell good and properly moisturize my hands. I often end up purchasing those 5 lotions that I love over and over again:

But I am always open to new suggestions!

  6. I love a good hand cream too but I'd never heard of the Burt's Bees salve until I read this, I'll have to try it when I need a new one! I wouldn't have thought of looking in TKMAXX for notebooks either but I love the sound of the one you found :) xx

Please feel free to comment! I love them! You guys are my muse!
