Balm Balm | Organic Skin Care

When it comes to skin care I'm fussy. Fussy of what goes onto my face. I look for organic skincare that has clean and healthy ingredients. So it may come as no surprise that my eyes have been clapped onto this brand for a while. Welcome to the brand 'Balm Balm'. This brand has a completely natural skin care line that has been approved by the Social Association. Impressed? I hope so. Let get that egg cracking...

Balm Balm Face Balm | When you think of the word face balm, you think cleansing balm. Do not be fooled. This product leans more towards a nourishing face oil. Its a nice and thick balm that melts quickly over your skin. This product is deeply nourishing. I suffer from red, dry desert like patches over my face - and would you believe it, this product has zapped them away. Dry patches be gone. It does take a while to sink in though, so I would use this before bed and let your skin seriously drink this stuff up overnight. There is a con though. Its naturally fragranced. So if you are very sensitive, I would test it before purchase.

Rose Geranium Perfume | What I love about this product is that it is 100% organic. This is not something you see in a perfume everyday. As much as I love my perfumes, I never know whats inside it. I never know what I am putting onto my skin. With this product, you don't have much to worry about. It holds a very strong rose scent, but on skin its light and fresh. Its not super long lasting, but the quality of the ingredients completely outweigh its lasting power. And in terms of staying put, it does a good job.

Hibiscus Face Mask | This is a face mask that I have been itching to try. Its a deep cleansing and exfoliating mask, aimed to draw impurities out of the skin. Yes folks, I ditched the clay to try out something a little different. But the question is - did it work? When you open this up, don't expect to see something you can goop onto the skin - You have work to do. Its a face mask in the form of a powder. Its weird at first, but its ends up being quite therapeutic. The idea is to add water and turn it into a paste. It can be a quick 10 minute mask or you can wait until its dry. Rather then washing it off, the brand pushes you to dampen the mask and rub it onto your skin in circular motions to lightly exfoliate. Its a nice idea but whilst it left my skin feeling soft and well cleansed, I did find my skin reacting to it. Red blotches decided to attend. So sensitive skins be warned. Its definitely for someone with tougher skin then mine.

  2. I have never used a face balm but it is something I would be willing to try. As for the perfume, you're right, we never really know what's in them. Have yet to find a 100% organic perfume that I like.
