Daily make up staples

There are certain products that I go back to time and time again. Products that I fall in love with. Products that are reliable and never let me down. I have a little stash of make up products that I love to put to use on a daily basis. I thought I'd share with you lovely readers my daily make up staples...

Bourjois Cream Eyeshadow No 2

I have a humungous weakness for cream eyeshadows. Particularly pink champagne ones. Its safe to say I keep a good stock. Cream eyeshadows are very easy to wear. They just make you look effortless and captivating. This particular cream eyeshadow gets a lot of use. The formula is fine and has a cream to powder texture to them. What is amazing about this range of cream eyeshadows is that it stays put. It doesn't slide all over the place, even in the most humid conditions. Its a very easy product to wear in terms of formula and shade.

Erase paste by Benefit

My skin goes from dry to parched and if worst comes to the worst it can go into desert dry conditions. Its a hassle and a very problematic battle that I have to deal with everyday. Its quite hard to find a concealer that will do a good job when my skin is covered in dry patches. Most concealers don't tend to sit on top of dry skin very well. They go clunky and look horrendous. I am better off with no concealer most times. A lot of concealers on the market tend to lack the moisture to cover dry skin. But what impresses me is that Erase Paste is very good at sitting on top of dry patches in every season. Its reliable. It looks good. And it doesn't highlight my dry patches. This concealer is amazing for dry skin. AMAZING. Its thick and moisturising concealer is just impressive.

Mac Matte Blush in 'Mocha'

This is the ultimate blush to wear on a day to day. Its just perfect. It gives your cheeks the most natural looking finish. The smallest dusting of this leaves your complexion looking marvellous. 'Mocha' is a traditional shade of pink that will match fair skin nicely. It doesn't look that exciting in the pan, but when you dust it on, it gives your skin a beautiful glow. If your facing a horrible skin day, this will really perk it up. Its easy to wear and sparkle free. I often find shimmery blushes make me look like a shimmer brick. Its not a good look on me. I am a huge fan of matte blushes. And this one is by far my favourite. It gets a lot of use. Bag it!

& Other Stories Brow Pencil

My brows sit firmly between a brown and a blonde. And its very hard to find a product with a shade that matches it. Its a very troublesome hunt. But I found one that near enough does the job on the colour front. This brow pencil cost me a good £4 at & Other Stories. And it has impressed me so much that I bought myself a spare. Just in case I see the day where they discontinue it. They better not!

They're Real Benefit Mascara

I hate dealing with mascaras that flake and smudge. When I am out and about, I don't want to have to get out the mirror every five seconds to check that my mascara has stayed in place. I love mascaras that lift the lashes and stay put. This particular jazzy number is one of my daily make up staples. Yep! Benefit has invaded again. The formula of 'They're Real' mascara is flawless. It is fuss free and very good at staying put. Not only does it give you a hassle free day of trying to rub the black flakes away from your skin, it gives you a beautiful set of mega black and long fluttery lashes. Ooh la la. It doesn't compromise volume over length or vice versa. Its a mascara that does everything you need it to.

  3. Everyone talks about the they're real mascara but I haven't tried it yet. The thing is they say that the sample size is better(it doesn't dry as easy as the big one) so I don't really know what to do.

    1. I do have the sample size, but check out their little box kits. They are always great and they may have a mini 'They're Real' mascara inside them! :) xx

  7. I love the erase paste, although I do think the colour is quite orange, I like how it brightens up your eyes, you can definitely tell the difference when you use it compared to the collection 2000 concealer!

    1. I agree, it is quite orange, but if you use a tiny amount it works out fine for me. Though they really do need to whack a few more shades into that particular line. I'd appreciate it! Haha. xx
