The Beauty Bag: August

I love a good nosey into other people's make up bags. Its fun to see what other people are using on a day to day basis. I thought I'd lay a few products out onto the blog and give you a little insight into whats been living full time in my make up bag this month! Ooh, you nosey parkers! Haha, just kidding. Introducing you to a new series called 'the monthly beauty bag'…

Stila Convertible Colour Cream Blush in 'Lillium'

Its one of my all time favourite cream blushes and it tends to take up residence in my make up bag most of the time. Its a bit of a sturdy product and with good reason. Stila's Convertible Colour range is impressive. The formula is moisturising, pigmented and easy to slide onto the cheeks. Forget dry winter skin, this cream blush will slide right over them. Whats more is that it applies evenly without any patches. Its easy to blend and hard to overdo. It makes natural look easy. Since my skin has been getting very dry lately, this has been rooted to my make up bag. Lillium is also the perfect pink colour to be in use all year round. Forget seasonal products, this one is for life.

Bourjois Cream to Powder Cream Eyeshadow in 'Golden Bronze'

If you love your cream eyeshadows but have trouble making them stick (oily skin types, I am looking at you) then these are going to your dream come true. These cream eyeshadow pots have an amazing cream to powder formula that makes them very budge proof. The formula has a very fine powder like texture to it. A small amount of this will very easily coat your lids. These are super pigmented too, so be in for a shock when you swatch them. I have been getting a lot of use out of this shade in particular. I have lost its name. But it takes on a gold shade with a bronze edge. Its super pretty. And if you like your bronze shades, you will want this.

Topshop Sheer Lipstick in 'Red Alert'

Since I have bought these, they have been in the make up bag. I have been testing them rather thoroughly and I have to say - I am pleased with them. I love lip products to be light, weightless and easy to wear. I don't like fuss. And these do not give me a hard time. The formula is delightful. Its light and moisturising, enough for it not to feel like your wearing a layer of cake over your lips. And to top that off it gives amazing colour coverage - Not too little nor too much to make it opaque. In particular I have been going heavy on the very fiery 'Red Alert'. Its just a lovely red to wear if your not all in the mood for in your face but you want to still bag some attention.

Physicians Formula Pencil Eyeliner in 'Nude Eyes'

This eyeliner has quite the colour. It sits firmly between a black grey and a dark brown. And because its so unique, I like it. These don't sit on the waterline that well but I just love lining my lower lashes with this and smoking it out slightly to give this thick lashes illusion. It works like a charm. My flutter looks good and this makes that happen.

    1. Definitely a good tip there. Especially when some concealers start to go a bit weird half way through the day. Good to have to hand and be able to reapply! Nice answer! xx
