August Favourites

And the August Favourites have landed! Am I the only one who thinks this year has just sped on by? Only me then. With August has come the dry, sensitive skin, lots of bright bold coral lipsticks and various blogger events. I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed August. Its been a great month. And I now bow out of this introduction and shower you all with this months beauty favourites - enjoy… 

Avene Soothing Moisture Mask

My skin has been going crazy this month. It has been through the mill. Apparently I do not deal very well with the heat. Not only have I had a couple of skin allergy eruptions that led me to a place called 'red blotch central', those pesky desert dry, red patches have decided to come back. Its been a bit of a roller coaster. And I got quite fed up of my skin crisis. To combat the blotchiness, I popped this 'Soothing Moisture' mask on top of a serum to calm my skin down. This does the job in 10 minutes. In 10 minutes this mask cools, soothes and hydrates my skin. The formula is light and you can feel this cooling sensation whilst wearing the mask. All in all this does a very good job at saving my skin. The panic is over.

Bioderma Hydrabio Serum

I realise this was in my last favourites. But due to my skin care crisis, this has been a bit of a life saver. This serum is really good at drawing moisture into the skin. And when your in need of moisture to fight those horrible dry patches, well this comes in very handy. I love pairing this with my Avene Soothing Moisture mask. I feel like this allows me to make the most out of the mask, each time I use it. I just love popping a hydrating mask on top of a serum. And this pairing is just so lush.  

Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in 'Party Pink'

Summer is all about colour. And whilst I probably lack it in the clothing department, I splash it across my lips at every chance I get. I love rocking a coral lip. I have said this numerous times on this blog. But coral is my summer colour. I have particularly been enjoying the shade 'Party Pink'. Its very bold and very neon. I love that it screams energy. The matte lip creams by Sleek are amazing. They pack in the colour, are thin on the lips and don't budge when your munching on the food. One of my everyday obstacles is the lipstick vs food situation. But the formula of the Sleek Matte Me lip creams, give me no troubles. 

Yves Rocher 'Youthful Glow Foundation' in Rose Beige 

I could not end this post without including my miracle find of the month. This is a foundation that works for my skin. The skin that is full of dry, flakey patches. Dry flakey patches and foundation are usually a no go area. Very typically the foundation gets very clumpy and doesn't sit smoothly on the skin. It looks awful. Hence why I hardly touch foundation. But this foundation curtesy of Yves Rocher - is very hydrating.  The formula is light, hydrating and very easy to work into my skin. Whilst it has quite light coverage, this has a beautiful matte satin finish to it that allows the skin to look glowing without shimmer. Its a product that I don't think I will be putting down anytime soon!
