My Blogging Tools

There are several things that come in real handy to me as a blogger. Its my basic blogging kit that keeps me organised and you won't find me without any of them. These are things that help me to step up my game. You will probably recognise them all but I thought it would be fun to pop a post together to show you 'My Blogging Tools'…

Business Cards

If you go to a lot of events and meet a lot of bloggers or brands then these are a must. I only got these a short time ago and instantly they have stepped up my game. If you meet a brand, they always ask if you have a business card. And when you say no it looks unprofessional. You end up having to write your details down on a scrap of paper and you tend to not hear from them again. By having a business card not only do you look good but it saves you having to shuffle a pen in and out of your bag. If your worried about money, MOO offers you cheap deals for good quality cards. And don't just go for the boring basic card. Do your research, be creative and have fun with it. Try and get the style of the card to relate to your blog - It makes brands ask questions and that is what you want.

Pen & Paper

I love notebooks. Notebooks are a bloggers best friend. It tears me apart every time I leave home without it. I often find when I am out and about, ideas for posts and projects for my blog crop up. And by the time I get home to write it down - It is gone. You do not want that to happen. A pen and paper around will do wonders for your blog. It helps to keep you organised, keep you inspired and it helps you to think out your thoughts. I love writing lists of things I need to do, ideas of blog posts I can create and exciting things I can do to step up my game.

Blue Tack

To some of you it may come as no surprise. I love blue tack. It helps me keep my photo shoot set up in place. One of my pet hates is when the beauty products roll about whilst your taking photographs of them. Not only does it take double the time to get the photographs taken, it makes the styling of your photos a lot messier. I like my products to stay put where I put them. And blue tack helps to keep your products from rolling around like crazy over your table. Its a very handy blogging tool.

Tweet Deck

I only discovered this a short while ago BUT this programme is incredible. Not only can I preschedule tweets easily to stay active whilst I am at work but I can see several different sides of twitter all at once. This takes multi-tasking to a whole other level. I have found this programme to improve my organisation on Twitter by 100%. Its weird to think that I ever lived without it. I am a bit addicted to this site at the moment. Sorry not sorry.

  1. Really handy tools, especially the blue tack, the amount of lipsticks that used to roll around on my tray was ridiculous until I bought some haha! I've only just started scheduling tweets too, it's so useful to know tweets about new posts are covered if you get busy :)

    1. Maybe we should form a club. I am sure most bloggers have a notebook addiction. And if they say they don't they secretly do! How could you not?! Lol.

  6. I've been meaning to get blue tack for ages! The other day I had to get my boyfriend to hold up a piece of paper at the top over a wall so he was out of frame but so it was balanced, such a pain haha.

And I really need to look into Tweet Deck

  11. A couple women on Twitter and I have started a weekly chat and I've found TweetChat to be incredibly effective at hosting and participating in these chats. It's a great way to keep up with conversations, network with other likeminded bloggers and exchange links!

That and my camera are my go-to tools. Without my camera I'd just have a blog with words. Not that blogs with just text are bad, but my beauty blog needs all the pretty images to show all the pretty.
