One Coat Wonders

I love my eyeshadows. I have a drawer full of them. But sometimes you find that one eyeshadow that does all the work in one coat and leaves you looking great with so little effort. Introducing you to a small round up of great eyeshadows that will leave you with an effortless look. Welcome to a special feature 'One Coat Wonders'…

Nars 'Kalahari' Eyeshadow Duo | Past Review (Swatch included)

This is one of my most beloved eyeshadow sets. Two of the most perfect colours sitting together side by side. Together they create the most magical combo. But both shades can be worn individually. And whilst each eyeshadow creates completely different looks, they both make the eyes look stunning. I class them as one coat wonders! Why? One wash of either of these shades over the eyes is beautiful. A bit of blending out and your good to go. No need to blend in other shades, these shadows are just good enough to work the magic on their own. They make those eyes pop. What a satisfying word.

Kiko Water Colour Eyeshadow '201'

The shade 201 is a soft flesh toned pink champagne colour with a really beautiful creamy formula. These powder eyeshadows have a satin finish and can be used both wet and dry in terms of application. Again its another shade one of those shades that you can just brush over the eyes and get ready to go. Its the type of shade that screams your shade but better. It blends in so well that it doesn't need another shade to accompany it. It just sits wonderfully over the lids and brings a bit of light to the eyes. I covet this little pot. Its just beautiful.

17 Eyeshadow 'Rose Quartz' | Swatches here

Rose Quartz is the perfect purple shade with warm earthy undertones. If your looking to smoke out the mood of your eyes a bit, this is a wonderful option to go for. This does not really need another shade to pair with it. Its a one coat wonder in its own right. It sits across the eyes beautifully and has a really smokey finish to it. If your after a fuss free and easy to use eyeshadow that holds a bit of an edge, this is your go to option. Its cheap as chips but is as classy as Dior. Shhhh. Don't tell anyone

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 'On and on Bronze'

I couldn't do a 'One coat wonders' feature without throwing this golden oldie in. Its just top of the class when it comes to these one coat creations. I love a good cream eyeshadow and this is definitely a sturdy favourite. A coat of this and my eyes are good to go. It creates shadows in all the right places and does not budge an inch. Shade and formula are both impressive. Yep. Its another one coat wonder. If you have not touched this yet - Please do. Your missing out.

  2. I absolutely love 17's Rose Quartz and Maybellines On and On Bronze - it's funny that there are some drugstore items that just attract beauty bloggers like moths haha.I haven't tried anything from Nars before but I've seen so many swatches (in my mission to choose exactly the right palette to start me off) and Kalahari is definitely the duo that I prefer. I just can't seem to take the plunge and buy it, I think the price of some make-up always puts me off xx
