Strengthening Eye Creams

Eucerin Anti Aging Hyaluron Filler Eye Treatment Review

My eyes have been through the mill lately with all of this unpredictable weather landing at our doorstep. From sun damage to dryness from the cold winds - Its been a bit wild lately. So I have amped up the skin care on the eyes and I have bought two eye creams. In combination these products have been strengthening the skin around my eyes. My eyes have never looked better. Let me introduce you to a mighty pair of eye creams...

Khiels Avocado Eye Treatment review

Khiels Avocado Eye Cream   £20 | LINK

This is very hyped about at the moment and to be perfectly honest with you - Its worth a look. What I love about this eye cream is about how nourishing it is. It does a very nice job at moisturising tired eyes back to health. If you have a lot on your plate or get a lot of exposure to the sun, this will be right up your alley. It works to inject life back into the skin around your eyes. Its a very thick yellow eye cream - but do no let that deter you. It means the product takes longer to sink into the skin. I would suggest this as a night treatment rather than something to slap on and go out. It can be quite greasy whilst it dries. But it does a fantastic job. I have noticed the skin around my eyes getting stronger, if that is possible. The lines are getting softer and the skin looks less sallow. Signs of exhaustion are more or less gone with this product.

Eucerin Hyaluron Filler Eye Cream   £22 | LINK

This is a wonderful eye cream to start your day with. I picked this up for two reasons. Firstly to protect my eyes from the sun. One of my jobs gets in a lot of sun time and whilst that might sound like a good thing - I burn. I worry about the damage sun can do to our skin long term. So I like to keep them protected. This eye cream in particular has an SPF of 15. Its not common for eye creams to have SPF within their formulas, but this puts me at ease. Secondly this eye cream has a truck load of Hyaluronic acid inside of the formula. And that makes my collagen very happy. Hyaluronic acid tends to help with collagen production, which keeps the skin nice and strong. The cream is very moisturising but dries quickly. Its nifty packaging does a good job at giving you the smallest amount of product. This is a product designed to last

Both eye creams are good at strengthening the skin around your eyes. They feel moisturising too. It is worth investing in an eye cream that feels effective.

    1. These two won't really work for dark circles. I often find you need more then one eye cream on the go to tackle the different problems. Like these won't help with dark circles - They are generally just making my skin look plumper and less sun damaged. These eye creams combat stress and really boot in the moisture. For dark circles you really need to be looking for a gel type eye cream with a metal applicator like Vichy Roller Ball eye gel. Ren does a nice eye gel called Active7. I find it helps cool skin down and plump the skin. You want to find an eye cream that focuses on dark circles. It should contain ingredients like Vitamin K and Retinol. A brand called Medik8 is a nice brand that do a good dark circles treatment. I have not tried it but it sounds like something you may want to look further into.

Dark circles are generally due to veins showing under your skin. Its probably purple because your blood circulation is appearing close to the skin (if this makes any sense!). I would suggest you eat more fruit and veg (enrich it with more Vitamin C, D and E), watch your diet and reduce your salt intake, sleep a little longer and banish stress from your life. I promise you - a healthy diet will help a little. A cooling eye mask for £7 from birch box or even some cucumbers will help a little. I hope this all helps. Let me know if it does!!!

  2. I wish I could afford one of these eye creams but it's just not in the budget this month! - What drugstore eye creams would you recommend Nadja? :)

    1. Ooh. This is a hard one for me - Purely because I often find drugstore eye creams to be inadequate. I often find you need more then one eye cream on the go to tackle the different problems. Like these won't help with dark circles - They are generally just making my skin look plumper and less sun damaged. These eye creams combat stress and really boot in the moisture. In terms of cheaper eye creams I have my eye on two that I am itching to try out! One is from 'feel unique' and is called the Emu oil eye cream. Its priced at £8.05 and from all the reviews about it sounds like a nice one. The other one you could try out is the Yes to Carrots eye cream for normal to dry skin. I don't know why, but this sounds appealing to me. Its around £9.99 and you can buy it at boots. Bhavna - I hope this helps. I can't wait to see you at the next event maybe!?
