The Game Changers | 2014

Rather then revealing my beloved favourites from the past year, I thought I would introduce you to the products that 'changed the game' for me in 2014.  Introducing you to  'The Game Changers'...

NARS 'Kalahari' Eye Shadow Duo

This is a product I treasure dearly. Why? Because these flatter me dearly. It looks so nice on me I can't seem to part from it all that often. The eyeshadow duo 'Kalahari' is a small palette filled with two very gorgeous earthy tones. The eyeshadow on the left is a very gorgeous bronze with gold undertones and a shimmer finish. The other is a gorgeous earthy brown with purple undertones and a satin finish. Its stunning. Both can be used individually or together. These do not disappoint in terms of quality. The eyeshadows are highly pigmented, buttery and smooth. These are everything a high end eyeshadow should be and by far my favourite from the Eyeshadow drawer.

Sleek Matte Lipstick 'Russian Roulette' (*)

Sleek's 'Russian Roulette' has stirred up a bit of a storm in me in 2014. I fell for those dramatic red matte lips. It has been my Autumn/ Winter go to for the past few months and is the lipstick that has captured most of my attention. I just cannot put this shade down. 'Russian Roulette' is simply beautiful. This shade is definitely the darkest lipstick of the lot. It is a classic rich burgundy colour that makes you swoon. You all know that I love a matte lipstick and Sleek have really impressed me with their formula. It does not feel drying or like its going to chap my lips badly. Nope, this sits quite beautifully. It's strong, it's bold and most importantly it is matte. I love pulling off a dark matte lip at this time of year, it makes me feel all cosy and autumnal. Its a 2014 favourite.

The Beauty Blender

This was probably the biggest game changer of 2014. It was a sponge that covered redness well. It just gives your face the most flawless complexion. A few dabs of this with concealer and that red angry spot you have had trouble with for quite a while is completely concealed. The finish is jaw droppingThis is a sponge that works miracles. Its is the best tool to use to work concealer into the skin. And if your concealer is separating on your skin, take a damp beauty blender and tap it onto your skin. It resets the make up and gives you a flawless finish. Like I said this sponge works miracles. It has saved my concealer on a couple of occasions and it does a very good job!

Dolly Wink Eyeliner

This felt tip eyeliner is AMAZING. It is the one eyeliner that I rely on the most. I tend to find other pen based eyeliners rather flakey and unreliable in how long they last. 'Dolly Wink' is an Asian Cosmetics brand that has created an eyeliner for smaller Eye shapes. Its fine nib is swoon worthy and drawing the ink onto your lid is a dream. Before I found this I had never fully trusted Pen Eyeliners. And now because of how impressive this product is I cannot put it down. 2014 was the year of the eyeliner for me.

Oxygenetix 'Oxygenating' Foundation

If I had to use one foundation for the rest of my life it would be this. I wasn't really a huge fan of foundation until in 2014 I found this. Now if I want to wear foundation, I really only wear this. Its so impressive I don't want to wear anything else. I have never found a high coverage foundation that has managed to sit nicely on top of my dry, red skin. Until now. This 'Oxygenating Foundation' is light and feels like air on the skin. You practically feel nothing. Application is nice too. Its easy to work with and blends very nicely into the skin. If you are having trouble with redness or dry patches, this is a foundation which you will have no trouble using. The formula does not crumble over dry patches and the coverage is high enough to cover all of those pesky red blotches that lurk on your face. It works wonders.

Sleek 'Precious Metals' Highlighting Palette

It would be a crime not to add the Precious Metals Palette to my 2014 game changers. The shades of this palette are incredible. I love how glowing and fresh it makes my skin seem to look. It is my main Highlighting tool go to. I use this so much it is ridiculous. The palette holds three cream highlighters and one powder highlight - All of which look stunning. The shades 'Platinum', 'Royal Gold', 'Renaissance Gold' and 'Antique Bronze' all catch the light beautifully on the skin. Sleek makes some great highlighters for the skin. And they have not let us down with this palette. It has everything - gorgeous shades, a good formula and a satisfying magnetic clasp. You need to see this palette

  6. Love these picks! I need some Nars eyeshadows in my life, they are a bit expensive so I haven't been able to justify the purchase though :/ The biggest game changer for me in 2014 was the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade, literally my brow game has never been the same since!
