4 Tips for Tired & Dull Skin

I think its fair enough to say everyone here has had at least one 'Bad Skin Day' throughout their lifetime. Sometimes I wake up with my skin looking SO tired and dull, I don't want to leave the house. Here are a few tips to brighten up your dull skin days.

Peaches and Corals

I always find an injection of peach or coral colours into my make up look can be a game changer for tired looking skin. Throw on a coral lipstick and your skin looks like it is packing some energy. The wonders a bold coral lip can do for your skin! Blushers that are peach or a soft coral can also help to reenergise skin. Choosing the shades you pop onto your skin can really help to brighten up your look. Battle your dull skin through some rather energetic colours!

Highlight: Go All Out

The best thing to do for tired looking skin is to go all out with your highlighter. Throw a bit of glow back into your face. A highlighter is the ultimate cheat to making your skin come to life. I love dewy cream based highlighters for days where my skin is extra dull. They sit a lot nicer on the skin and are great for leaving your skin with a dewy and glowing look. Topshop's Cream highlighter in 'Polish' is my Ultimate go to highlighter.

Brightening Masks

I always find masks that are designed to exfoliate your skin, shift a few dead skin cells and tackle those black heads are great at throwing a bit of energy back into your skin. A favourite of mine is Ren's Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. Like it is stated in the name, this 10 minute mask is great at giving your skin a boost. This product leaves your skin looking bright, clear and rather radiant. Its one to pop onto the wish lists.

Refresh your Skin

Any Skincare that is designed to cool down and refresh skin is great for tired looking skin. Eye Creams with Metal Applicators can help to depuff those dark under eyes. Eye Creams like Vichy Aqualia Thermale Roller Ball Eye Gel and First Aid Beauty Eye Gel have cold metal applicators that can massage the cooling gel into the skin. Cold Products that are massaged into the skin can help to stimulate blood flow and tighten your pores, bringing your skin to life. Avene's Soothing Moisture Mask is another good one to pop onto your tired skin. Its a mask that cools down and soothes the skin. The results of this particular 10 minute mask is amazing. It makes your skin glow - literally. If you want to wake up tired and dull looking skin, use cold skin care products to help your skin out a bit.
